Answers to some of your questions.
I've been asked, "What's the weather like?" Everyday, it's warm and sunny, but hazy. I've been waiting for the haze to clear so that I can take some good skyline pictures. I guess that isn't going to happen. I'll get some hazy ones tonight before I go to bed.
"What's the toy in the happy meal?" I don't know, but maybe I'll stop in another McDonald's tonight and check.
"Are there Taco Bells in Hong Kong?" No. In fact, there's very little Mexican food here. A bit surprising since there's such a wide variety of cuisine here. The American fast food places I've seen are only McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and KFC. I saw someone with a KFC Pepsi cup, and I thought that odd. Coke products are everywhere here, but Pepsi is no where, except at KFC, I guess.
Gastronomy update: Nothing but great food since the dumpling and assorted ball soup thing. The seafood has really been a highlight--HK is on the sea, after all. Sushi is good and cheap. I ate seven plates off a conveyor belt (yeah! conveyor belt sushi!) for $10.25, $11.25 after tip. It was great, and I was stuffed afterwards. I went to a small island that used to be a haven for pirates. I had probably the best lobster I ever had in my life there. In Macau, I had some sardines in a Portuguese/Macanese restaurant by a black sand beach. Today, I'm going for Dim Sum, which is my only thing to do today, except get some pictures uploaded.
I leave for Nepal tomorrow. I'm excited, but the travel warnings for that country have me a little scared. I might adjust my itinerary a bit because of it. Those darn Maoist ruin everything.

Same thing in Japan. Coke is everywhere, Pepsi nearly nonexistant. If you suddenly have a hankering for a Mt. Dew, you have to go find a KFC. Since KFC is owned by Pepsi, it's the one place you can count on having it. They usually even had a Pepsi vending machine out front.
I'm a Coke guy and never liked Mt. Dew much, so I'm fine. HK did have Vanilla Coke, but not Diet Vanilla Coke, but I persevered.
